A wide variety of special effects can be achieved with eye makeup tricks using different tools such as eyeshadow, eye shadow primer, eyeliner, under-eye concealer, mascara, eyebrow pencils, eye makeup brushes, and eyebrow brushes.
Eye-Shadows are available in a wide assortment of colors, and different textures to achieve your own customized look.
Given the fact that there are so many choices, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out which colors to use, which textures to use, and how to apply each eyeshadow.
It can be so easy to get stuck in a rut thinking that because, for example: that if you have blue eyes, that you can only use "blue eye shadow", or that blue eye shadow is the best eyeshadow color for you.
This really is just not true. While some colors are better than others, experimenting with a variety of colors for your particular eye color is the best way to go. There just isn't any hard and fast rules about which eyeshadow colors you should apply, however some colors can tend to be better than others. Like I said, it's best to experiment.
There are other eye makeup tricks that I want to talk about, and that is with eyeshadow colors in the same color group.
Using the same eyeshadow colors in the same color group is much easier to apply, and they will complement one another. It will also help you blend the colors easily and helps soften the look.
There are a few different types of eyeshadow formulations: matte eye shadow, shimmer eye shadow, liquid eye shadow, loose powder eye shadow, and cream eyeshadow.
*Matte eye shadow- these are colors that will give you a flat, smooth finish. Darker colors give a more dramatic effect, while lighter shades open up the eyes.
*Shimmer eye shadow- these colors are typically used for highlighting the eye at the brow bone area. This helps to open up the eye and can give the illusion of and eye lift if used in the outer part of the brow bone area.
Caution: If your eyelids are crepey, it is best to avoid shimmery eyeshadows, because they will become more creased looking.
If your eyes are crepey it is best to stick with a matte eye shadow.
Putting on eye makeup properly can help you get a great professional finish that can last you as long as you want, and as long as your client wants.
My goal here is to give you some of my eye makeup tricks and tips that I have found very helpful as a makeup artist, and to help you with your Home Makeup Business Success.
