Your Beauty Business marketing doesn't have to be a struggle. If you are asking yourself...
HOW DO I GET CLIENTS? Read on...
Whether you are first starting your beauty business, or have been at it for awhile, having a constant flow of traffic to your home makeup business is the lifeblood to your success.
Chances are you've figured out that: You've got to land some new clients fast--or else! Here is my list of a few recommended ideas to get you started. They aren't new, but they are proven techniques that you can use right away.
1. Speaking to Groups:
Speaking to a group of your target audience, such as people who like to buy makeup and skincare, leaves more of an impact on people than an in-person presentation. You show that you are the expert, and build know, like, and trust with customers. At each appearance, the most important thing that you can do is to collect your participants' e-mail addresses by offering something free (your free report, e-book, a GWP coupon, or e-zine subscription), which builds your list. The day after the event, send them a welcome and a reminder to visit your site to pick up their gift.
Invite them to sign up for your Blog. You want to stay in touch with them to keep the momentum going.
A few ideas to make a splash:
2. Your Own E-zine:
If you publish your own e-zine, you already have a list of prospects who are probably interested in what you have to say, and likely what you have to offer. Give them a reason to visit (or re-visit) your site, contact you with an order, or inquire about a makeup fundraiser by adding new content, giving away a free report or e-book, or offering a special subscriber-only promotion, such as a GWP on your products and services.
3. Business Cards: This is the easiest one to implement. Make sure that you have plenty to give out. “Never leave home without them”.

4. Elevator Speech: If
you are at a loss for words when someone asks “What do you do?”,
Having a 30 second elevator speech, as it is called, will help to move
the conversation forward. Write down a 3 bullet point summary of what
it is that you want people to remember you by, and memorize these 3
points. The next time someone asks, “What do you do?”, you will be
ready to answer and look like the professional that you are.
5. Postcard Mailings:
One
of the forgotten and overlooked tactics in today's marketing is the
simple postcard. Postcards are a quick, easy, and a great way to
generate leads and increase visitors to your site, and help book a
consultation, home party, or fundraiser. Best of all, they're the
perfect way to smash through the online clutter... by going offline!
6. Guest Blog:
The
most effective way to reach a bigger audience is by writing targeted
guest posts for large websites in your field. Include a short bio at
the end of each article with your professional title, especially for
your guest posts. In other words, you want to let the readers know what
you do. Look for websites in your target market. If you are building a
local list of customers, such as women's groups or meet-ups, school
newspapers, research and contact them, and ask if they are interested in
showcasing your guest posts.
7. Host a Home, Office or Virtual Party:
This is easy to put together and can increase sales, and land new customers faster than any other marketing technique.
Hint: Virtual Parties or aka Online parties is such an easy way to set up and launch your business in less than 15 min. If you have joined a company that allows you to do that, life can be good.
Quick tip: Make it a theme party and watch your sales soar from all of the fun that your guests will have.
8. Your E-mail Sig File:
You
may be familiar with e-mail signature (or "sig") files -- they're the
few lines of contact information that many of us put at the bottom of
every e-mail we send. Add a description of your business to your sig
file that give us a reason to visit your site. Perhaps you're having a
special sale now or you're having a GWP. Remember, e-mails get forwarded
around all the time, so take advantage of this free exposure.
